Terms of Use

These terms apply to your use of the Grou AI app (“Grou AI”, “we”, “us”). By using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. The service

Grou AI edits videos you record: it removes pauses, retakes and filler words, adds captions and prepares the video for sharing. Editing uses cloud speech recognition and AI, as described in our Privacy Policy.

2. Free use

Without a subscription you can make one video per day. Videos made for free include a Grou AI watermark.

3. Subscriptions

• Paid plans (Basic, Pro and Max) are auto-renewing subscriptions, billed monthly or yearly. Each plan includes a set number of videos per month, shown in the app before purchase. Videos made with a subscription have no watermark.
• Yearly plans may include a free trial (for example, 3 days) for eligible users. If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts and you are charged.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the paid period.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.
• Unused videos do not carry over to the next period. We may change prices or plan limits; changes apply from your next billing period, and Apple will notify you if your consent is required.

4. Your content

You own your videos, audio and anything you create with Grou AI. You give us a limited permission to process your content only to provide the service — for example, to transcribe your audio and edit your video. We don't claim any ownership of your content.

You are responsible for your content and for having the rights to everything in it, including the voices and faces of other people.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use Grou AI to create or process content that is illegal, infringes others' rights, harasses or harms others, or to attempt to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service.

6. AI results

Speech recognition and AI editing are automatic and can make mistakes: a word may be cut, kept or captioned incorrectly. Please review your video before publishing it.

7. Third-party services

Grou AI relies on third-party providers (such as Apple, ElevenLabs, OpenAI, Anthropic, Supabase and Adapty). When you share a video to another app or platform, that platform's terms apply.

8. Termination

You can stop using the app at any time. We may suspend access if these terms are seriously violated. We may change or discontinue features; if we discontinue the service entirely, we will let you know in advance.

9. Disclaimer

Grou AI is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We don't guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for loss of data or content. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer-protection laws that cannot be waived.

11. Apple

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA) also applies to your use of the app. Apple is not responsible for the app or its support, and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, let you know in the app. Continuing to use the app means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This does not take away any mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live.
